I personally don't recoomment full frame. The Body's aren't the cheapest but the lenses are very expensive. I went from an A7iii which is a brilliant all around camera today to an 6400. Immediately the weight reduced as well as the price of my glass. Since people predominantly veiw content now on phone screens, the quality of the images can never be told apart. Been shooting well over ten years now and I can confindently say, that the full frame hype isn't what is used to be. Furthermore I have also been able to print large with the 6400. For meatleast, It's been a win win situation especially with the Sigma trio of lenses.

the old A7c is good enough if you want something very close but on a budget. I have one and happy with it. would consider the A7ciiR if i were to upgrade.

The only camera I need is my next camera.

$2000+ (body only) is not affordable, my dude... but the SHOTS 💥💥💯

Quality of your video colors is anti-thesis of this camera. You should have not used the crappy luts which spoiled your video and gave it 70's look.

damn the most insightful video ever. I had to replay it like 10x. Would love to see how you plan your A roll shots but in different environment but still carrying the same script.

Seriously? The A7C mkII USED is still a $2200 camera, for just the body! Tack on a lens, and your almost looking at $2500! This is not the budget for any remotely reasonable beginner.

I just came from a nex-5 video and thought, oh great, an alternative, good and affordable camera. Lol this thing cost 10x to 20x as much...

I still can't find a good reason to get this over A6700 for video. Sure it is FF but if you are going to use F1.8 or above then APSC has nice lenses with equivalent DOF.....ISO is not really an issue for video these days too. So you get identical results at cheaper price for A6700. The only thing I would upgrade to A7Cii is for 33MP which I have been evaluating as I crop my pictures some times.

The best first camera for a new photographer always has been and always will be a film camera. It will force you to learn the basics of photography instead of doing everything for you like new cameras.
